Work hailed as the largest piece of research on the Gaelic arts and culture in the Isle of Skye and Western Isles has been published.
Copies of Rannsachadh Mr - The Big Survey - will drop through letterboxes of a quarter of all houses in the islands and Lochalsh.
The survey by Gaelic Arts Agency Proiseact nan Ealan focuses on the arts' impact on the Gaelic language.
A similar survey was carried out 10 years ago.
Organisers said the results will be of value to local authorities and non-governmental agencies and provide context material for the Scottish Parliament.
