A celebration of Scotland's forests and woodland has been launched as part of the Highland 2007 Year of Culture.
The Forestry Commission Scotland said its Touchwood programme includes astronomy, art and education events.
They will be held across Scotland throughout the year, but there are a number of major projects.
One is a proposal to construct a 300-seat covered amphitheatre in Canmore Woods on the outskirts of Dornoch in the Highlands.
