A total of 360 jobs have been secured at a Highland salmon farm, after a supermarket chain announced plans to sell only sustainable Scottish salmon.
A farm run by Marine Harvest at Loch Torridon in Wester Ross will produce responsibly-sourced salmon for Sainsbury's.
The fish will be caught and reared to strict RSPCA welfare standards for farmed salmon.
From May, Sainsbury's will only source the fish from farms in Scotland.
The chain currently sells 27% of all the salmon sold in the UK.
Under the plans, the Scottish salmon farms used by Sainsbury's will also employ responsible management techniques to help protect and maintain the natural environment.
The chain has also published plans to source sustainable cod, haddock, tuna and prawns by 2010.
