An 11-week public consultation exercise to help plan future uses for the former oil yard at Nigg in Easter Ross has begun.
People have until 16 February to have their say on options for the site, which include serving the renewable energy industry.
A strip of land at the yard is the subject of a dispute over fees. Nigg has also been falling into disrepair.
Highland Council has been considering taking over the site.
