Cockling court case continuation
The case against a woman accused of leading a group illegally cockling on the Scottish side of the Solway Firth has been continued without plea.

The defence requested the continuation at Dumfries Sheriff Court.

Frances Charnley, 35, from Morecambe, is alleged to have caused or permitted a breach of an order banning cockling.

The incident is said to have taken place on the foreshore at Powfoot, near Annan, in February. The case was continued for three weeks.
