Mr Wilds will hold the post as independent social work advisor

A social work troubleshooter has been appointed to shore up services at Dumfries and Galloway Council.
The local authority has appointed Stephen Wilds of Social Care Consultancy Ltd as independent social work advisor.
Officials said the move was designed to help the council to address issues arising from recent Social Work Inspection Agency reports.
Mr Wilds will work alongside the chief executive and social work management.
He will start on 6 November and has already met councillors, representatives of senior management, as well as representatives of the union Unison.
