Major development gets go-ahead
Plans for a new school and more than 70 homes have been approved at Clovenfords in the Scottish Borders.

The council's planning committee gave both projects the go-ahead - along with an access road up to the new school from the Caddonfoot Road.

The preferred route is directly off the A72 roundabout but the land needed is currently the subject of a compulsory purchase order by the authority.

In order to prevent delays councillors voted the scheme through as it stood.
