Plexus said jobs were safe at its two sites in Scotland

An electronics firm has said there will be no jobs impact at its Scottish sites after it announced plans to open a new "low cost" facility in Romania.
Plexus employs 245 manufacturing staff at Kelso in the Borders and a further 23 at a design centre in Livingston.
A spokeswoman said that while it would "transition some business" to Romania it would not affect jobs in Scotland.
She said that two contracts worth about 18m a year meant all its sites could be kept "busy and profitable".
Plexus announced plans to lease a new site in Oradea in Romania late last week.
It said the location was "logistically attractive" and offered "significant labour cost savings".
Vice president Ginger Jones said the new plant should be "good news for all Plexus employees, including the employees in Kelso".
She said: "It allows us to better serve our customers in Europe and should help grow Plexus revenue.
"We will likely transition some business from the Kelso site, however this will not impact on overall headcount levels due to recent programme wins.
"We operate in an increasingly global market and having a low cost European manufacturing capability will improve our service offering and cost competitiveness."
Ms Jones added that the Kelso site had won two new customers in the past six months which were anticipated to generate significant annual revenue.
She said: "With that positive trend in new programme wins we hope to keep all three sites in the Plexus European footprint (Kelso, Livingston and Oradea) busy and profitable.
"Plexus remains committed to the two sites in Scotland."
