A mid Wales museum which was threatened with closure may be thrown a lifeline.
The Andrew Logan Museum of Sculpture at Berriew near Welshpool was told last year that it would receive no more funding from Powys County Council because of budget cuts.
But the council has now agreed to consider a fresh grant application - which could also open the door for a lottery grant.
The museum is unusual because it is dedicated to a living artist.
Its collection includes sculptures, jewellery and other items created by Andrew Logan over the last four decades.
The artist launched the Alternative Miss World - a surrealist art event based on Crufts Dog Show - in 1972. The event has grown in popularity, and even received a mention in the best-selling novel, Bridget Jones' Diary.
