Keeping 'Eddies' aliveEdwards No8 Manager Colin Wall said: "It has been a struggle to keep the name of 'Eddies' alive, but thanks to the rock and gothic factions in the Midlands we have managed to continue. ![]() Fire at Edwards No 8 "Since then, we have spent a lot of time walking the streets of Birmingham trying to find a new home, but we couldn't find a place to call our own. "After months of trying, we found somewhere that would act as a fill in on Saturday Nights. That place is The Newt on Stephenson Street (where we operate every Saturday night), located near to New Street Station (under the ramp)." Rising from the ashesIn the spirit of keeping Edwards alive until a new permanent venue is identified, Edwards will be holding an anniversary night on the 10th November 2007, one year since the fire. Entry is £4 before 10pm and £5 afterwards, with every person wearing an 'Eddies' T' shirt getting a further £1 discount on entry. last updated: 31/10/07 SEE ALSOYou are in: Birmingham > Entertainment > Music > Music Features > Eddies Anniversary |
