How is it doing this film after a 14-year break?

It's great, it's fantastic, I kind of liken it to getting on a bicycle again. The characters are there living inside you and you just kind of dust them off.

How similar or dissimilar to Crocodile Dundee is Paul?

He has some similarities but luckily he is a bit more sophisticated. He hasn't brought home any dead animals for me to skin. I think the inner core of him is very like Mick and that's where it all came from.

How similar to Sue are you?

Well, I have similarities but I mean for me, she still is a character.

What brings Crocodile Dundee to Los Angeles?

Mick and Sue are living in the Outback and they have a little boy. Sue is called to Los Angeles to do some work for her father's paper and she brings the whole family. All sorts of adventures then ensue.

What makes this story and character so popular?

Well, I think it's a lot to do with his innocence and intelligence. Crocodile Dundee never used machine guns to get himself out of a sticky situation, he used his smarts and yet he is also naive and charming.
