Eddie Parks got a look inside the Baubigny Arsenal storehouse of the Guernsey Museum which contains several items of historical large agricultural machinery. ![]() The three foot saw blade The large timber saw was donated to the museum by Percy Bourgaize of St Pierre Du Bois in the early 1990s when he decided to buy a new saw for the same purpose. The old model fills almost a third of a room in the old arsenal with cast iron cogs and flywheels, belts, a huge wooden wheel, and a three foot blade to name but some parts of the saw. The saw would have been in use from the 1920s until at least the 1960s, unfortunately the saw is so large it could take weeks to move and reassemble for display though Matt Harvey from the Guernsey Museum did say: "I'd love to see it up and on display".
