BBC a major tool for the learner
I'm a regular listener of the BBC world service for the last 15 years to be exact. Back then it was on the radio and now I have TV and the internet. I'm thankful to the BBC World Service for doing a yeoman's service in the fields of communication and learning. Especially third world countries and a country like India have benefited enormously all these years. When it comes to learning languages or getting news we always go to the BBC website. Over the years I've developed a kind of bond. Thank you.

I completely agree. I found the wonderful French language site when I had hardly any knowledge of French, l and used it religiously for about 2 months prior to a 6 month stay in France. Two years on I am now very competent in speaking French, and thank the BBC website for getting me off to a great start. I have today found some good Spanish videos, I'm planning to get started on those too! The BBC language websites will always be my first port of call if I want to learn a new language, and I find it amazing how all of this can be accessed freely. It's just great!
