Beating the loading wait
On some connections it can take time to load an episode. To avoid waiting too long during a lesson for it to load, try and pre-load it before the class starts, making sure you don't close the browser window or the PC before you show it. You can then restart the episode and avoid the waiting time altogether. If you don't have set-up time, try and cover that time with a class activity, based on the story or the characters, maybe anticipating what the students think may happen next to keep them engaged. Depending on their level, you can do it in English but using the words that appear during the loading screen as clues.

Downloading would be wonderful. Our students have laptops and we like them to work on this individually, too, but with the school connection and 30 students doing it, things go very slowly.

I agree with Andy. School networks are notoriously slow and often overloaded. Being able to download episodes would make planning easier and remove the dependance on having a reliable internet connection during lessons. This would make our lessons much easier to manage. Great stuff though.

Hi Andy:
I'd recommend that while you wait you review the synopsis of the episode and essential vocabulary with your students. I found that this helps keep them on task while waiting for the video to load.

I agree with the above comment. I would love to show this to my Spanish class, but our school's internet connection is too slow. Or is there a way we could buy it on DVD?

Why not have the ability to download the video files?
So we can view them without waiting for the Internet.
