The Golden Nose award

BBC Radio York is staging its very own event for this year’s Comic Relief Appeal, having asked the folk of North Yorkshire if they have 'More Front Than Scarborough'. Read on to find out how you can get tickets for this unmissable event!

More Front Than Scarborough

Venue: Royal Hotel Ballroom, Scarborough
Date: Sunday 11 March
Time: 7pm
Tickets: By donation £5. See below for details about how to obtain tickets.

BBC Radio York has been scouring the streets of North Yorkshire, looking for willing (and talented!) volunteers to 'do a turn' at a special Comic Relief event taking place at at the Royal Hotel Ballroom in Scarborough on Sunday 11 March at 7pm.

At last, the search is over, and a line-up of acts has been devised. The acts will be judged on the night by a panel including some of Radio York’s funniest people, and the winner will take home the prestigious “Golden Nose” trophy and a night they will never forget.

About Comic Relief

Comic Relief was launched in response to the devastating famine that crippled Ethiopia and much of the rest of Africa in the mid-eighties. Then in 1988 came the very first Red Nose Day, bringing in an unheard of £15 million. A total of 9 more RND’s have followed since. In total Comic Relief has raised more than £425 million so far.
