Ibrahim Alfa Jnr. mixtape

Verity Sharp presents a boundary-defying mix from British techno producer Ibrahim Alfa Jnr. and plays new music from Vanishing Twin, Tamar Osborn, and BD.

Verity Sharp shares a spellbinding mix from prolific British techno producer Ibrahim Alfa Jnr., fresh from the release of his new album Infinite Black Inside, a piece of work that showcases the vastness of his musical influences, from soul to jazz, from dub to minimalism.

Born in London and based in Brighton, Ibrahim started making music in the late ‘90s, releasing his first techno record at the age of eighteen. Since then, he has never stopped producing music, including during a recent period of forced isolation while recovering from a pulmonary embolism and two heart attacks. His new album brings together some of the over 500 tracks recorded during that time.

Elsewhere in the show, a new single from the forthcoming album of Vanishing Twin plus hypnotising improvisations from saxophonist Tamar Osborn.
