Afrodeutsche curates an immersive journey through outstanding contemporary music, drifting between birdsong, folk traditions, atmospheric soundscapes and cosmic reflections. The programme features music from Irish artist RÓIS, Roger Eno, Akusmi, Mark Barrott and Nils Petter Molvær with Imogen Heap, alongside a BBC Introducing spotlight on oud player Babak Barbod's reimagining of Satie's Gnossienne No.1. With evocative works inspired by dreams, landscapes, literature and the passing of time, the hour concludes among the stars with Thomas Ross Fitzsimons' shimmering tribute to Saturn.
