Handel's Alcina

Lisette Oropesa stars as Alcina and Emily D'Angelo as the knight Ruggiero in Handel's Alcina - a tale of love, sorcery and betrayal on a magical island.

Handel's Alcina from the Royal Opera House starring Lisette Oropesa as Alcina and Emily D'Angelo as the knight, Ruggiero.

The sorceress Alcina has it all worked out: on her Love Island she has an endless supply of lovers, and the magical means to dispose of them when she gets bored. But when her current lover Ruggiero’s fiancée turns up, Alcina’s fantasy world collides with cruel reality.
