Can anyone manage Manchester United?

Rick & Lloyd are joined by Oliver Kay, Senior football writer at The Athletic, Joe Smith from Stretford Paddock and BBC Sport’s Chief football news reporter Simon Stone after a surreal day at Old Trafford. Can anyone pull Manchester United out of this mess?

Michael Carrick suffered a tumultuous afternoon, where defeat on the pitch came with support in the stands – but at the expense of his players. Was this one of the strangest atmospheres we've ever seen at Man Utd? And is there someone, anyone, that will want to take this impossible job? If not, could Michael Carrick be safe after all...

We try to get to the bottom of all of those questions swirling around Old Trafford. Oh, and would a hug from Lloyd make everything better? Rick thinks probably not. Manchester United fans, drop us a WhatsApp on 08000 289 369.
