The Scottish Championship match between Greenock Morton and Ayr United has been postponed as Storm Boelo batters the country.

A statement was released by the visitors an hour before kick-off, citing a waterlogged pitch as the reason for the call off.

Meanwhile, the League One meeting between Cove Rangers and East Kilbride was brought to a premature conclusion in the first half by the match referee.

No new dates have been announced.

Friday's Scottish Cup tie between Penicuik Athletic and Clyde was also postponed because of heavy rain.

The match at Montgomery Park has been rearranged for Tuesday, 27 October at 19:30 GMT.

There are 19 more second-round ties scheduled for Saturday. Organisers the Scottish FA have released a list of potential rearranged dates, external should this weekend's wet and windy weather cause further call-offs.

Also on Saturday, there are 14 SPFL fixtures, with two Premiership games scheduled for Sunday.
