Thierry Henry has committed his long term future to Arsenal, according to reports.

French striker Henry, 24, finished as the Premiership's top scorer last season and has agreed a new 15m five-year contract with the London club.

"As long as Arsenal want me, I want them," Henry told the Sunday Mirror newspaper.

"The fans love me here and people have so much confidence in me, so I can never walk away from these people.

"They have given me everything - love, honesty and belief - ever since I arrived here.

"I just want to keep on going for these people."

The quotes appeared after Henry had scored a hat-trick as Arsenal beat 1860 Munich in a pre-season friendly.

Henry, who has two years to run on his present deal, rejected an initial offer before agreeing to the new deal believed to be worth 60,000-a-week.

Arsenal apparently now want to try to persuade midfielder Patrick Vieira to follow Henry's lead by committing his future to the club.

Henry added: "Last season I won the Golden Boot and Arsenal won the Double and I just want to keep on winning with this team.

"I just want to keep on going for these people."
