Batsman Vikram Atri was the star performer for Lincolnshire on the opening day of their minor counties match against Staffordshire. Atri top scored with 89 and Dan Birch hit a half century as Lincolnshire made 317 in their first innings. In reply, Staffordshire had reached 75-2 at close of play in their first innings at Longton. Lincolnshire have won one of their three matches so far in the minor counties Championship Eastern Division.
