Dereham Town achieved a notable first on Saturday with their 4-0 win over Hadleigh United at Aldiss Park.

The three points took them to the top of the Ridgeons Premier Division for the first time in the club's history.

Danny Beaumont was again amongst the goals, his hat-trick taking his tally to 14 for the season.

The difference between this season and last is a marked one as far as The Magpies are concerned.

They were heavily tipped to do well last season but had a poor start and never recovered but with the weight of expectation perhaps not so great they are flourishing this term.

Diss Town are are moving along nicely in Ridgeons Division One. Rob Taylor's side took on Ipswich Wanderers at Brewers Green Lane and became the first team to take points off their Suffolk rivals with a 2-1 win.

Since their opening day defeat The Tangerines have compiled an unbeaten run that sees them second in the table.

There was a great win for King's Lynn Town in the UCL Premier.

The Linnets took on Newport Pagnell at The Walks - a side who went into the game with a 100% record - but they were put to the sword with Lynn romping to a 5-1 win, Jack Defty netting a brace.

Unfortunately, there was no good news in the FA Cup.

Lowestoft Town put up a good fight at Conference South side Dartford but just fell short and are out of the competition after a 2-1 defeat.
