Dungannon produced a dramatic late comeback to beat Newry City 3-2 in Friday night's game at the Marshes.

Ray Fitzpatrick headed Newry in front on 17 minutes but Paddy McLaughlin sliced Shane McCabe's cross into his own net for the equaliser after 74.

Andy Crawford scored a penalty after Ryan McCluskey fouled Richard Clarke on 82 but David Scullion flicked in Mark McAllister's right wing cross after 84.

Everaldo headed in from close range after Scullion hit the crossbar on 90.

Fitzpatrick broke the deadlock by meeting a Damien Curran cross while at the other end Robert Robinson denied McAllister and McCluskey had a shot deflected wide.

McLaughlin was unfortunate to put the ball into his own net to level the score but Crawford stepped up to put Newry in front for the sceond time.

Scullion popped up to equalise again and substitute Everaldo was on hand to head in the rebound following Scullion's effort in the dying moments to seal a dramatic win.

This was Newry's fifth consecutive home league defeat.
