Pat McShane spent many seasons playing for Linfield
Lisburn Distillery manager Paul Kirk has signed former Linfield left-back Pat McShane on a two-year contract, with the option of a third.
The defender was released by the Blues a few weeks ago and signed for the Whites on Wednesday night soon after returning from his honeymoon.
"I am thrilled to sign Pat as he is a player of great quality who has got a winning mentality," said Kirk.
"He was disappointed to leave Linfield but sees this as a new challenge."
"Pat feels he still has a lot to offer and I agree with him," added the Distillery boss.
McShane was released by Linfield, along with fellow defender Tim McCann, who has since joined Glenavon.
The Whites have also signed Larne goalkeeper Alex Spackman as cover for their forthcoming Intertoto Cup matches, with the possibility of a longer deal.
