It's the fourth round at Hazeltine, Minnesota and the challenge for the field is to try and catch leader Tiger Woods - who has won all 14 of his majors so far from this position on the final day
The players struggle with the blustery conditions and Lee Westwood posts one of the few rounds under par, and the clubhouse lead, when he cards a 70 to reach three under for the week
Northern Ireland's 20-year-old star Rory McIlroy soon joins Westwood after a two-under par 70 and is poised to record his best finish in a major
Reigning champion Padraig Harrington starts the days tied for second behind Woods but his challenge falls apart when he twice finds the water at the par-three 8th
South African Ernie Els is also in the hunt but the 39-year-old cards four costly bogeys on the back nine for a two-over 74 as his attempt to win his first major since 2002 fizzles out
American Lucas Glover, who was an unexpected winner at this year's US Open, moves to five under but a run of four bogeys in seven holes around the turn sees him fall back
YE Yang starts the final day two strokes behind Tiger Woods but the Korean claws his way level before chipping in for eagle at the 14th to take a one-shot lead on eight under
YE Yang leads by one going down the 18th and closes out the win with a birdie for a three-shot victory as Tiger Woods takes three to get down from the greenside rough
Yang becomes the first Asian-born player to win a major and joins Angel Cabrera (Masters), Lucas Glover (US Open) and Stewart Cink (Open Championship) as the 2009 major winners.
