Coventry Blaze have secured the services of Great Britain international Russ Cowley for another season.
In his 349 appearances for Blaze, the 24-year-old has scored 67 goals and 117 assists and is now a permanent fixture in the national side.
Coach Paul Thompson said: "Everyone knows that we couldn't agree terms at the start of the summer.
"I'm glad to say we banged our heads together and finally got a contract signed for the forthcoming season."
Cowley initially joined Blaze back in 2001 and spent a season with Cardiff Devils in 2006/07.
Thompson added: "I always wanted Russ back in the line-up as I think last season we saw what an injury-free Russell Cowley could contribute to the team.

"I'm really pleased with the depth we are going to have in our forward lines this season and over the course of a long season I think it's really going to pay dividends."
Cowley, who broke through the 50-point mark for the first time as a professional last year, was pleased to have got his contract sorted.
He said: "It is great to be back playing for the number one team in the country.
"There has been a lot of speculation this summer about where I would be playing next season, however my only desire has been to play for Coventry again.

"I have had many talks with Thommo over the summer and I am really glad that we both came to an agreement.
"It is going to be my seventh season putting on a Blaze shirt, making me the second longest-serving player on the team after Tommy Watkins next season - something I am really proud of."
