Once you've learnt to ollie, a good trick to move onto is the railslide.
Handrails, branches, logs, anything can be slid on and to great effect.
There are a number of ways to slide, the first to learn being the 50-50 railslide.
This is when the board slides straight down the middle of the obstacle.
But remember, don't start too big, go carefully, then go grind!
Step one
Ride towards the rail with enough speed to ollie onto it.
As you jump, look straight down the centre of the obstacle.
Step two
As soon as you're on the rail, bend your legs.
Use your shoulders and arms to control your balance.
Step three
Ollie slightly to come off the rail.
Remember to keep your balance to help you from falling over.
Step four
As always, absorb the impact of landing by bending yours legs.
Now smoothly ride away and look for your next slide!
