Vinyl countdownIs there a song that makes you think about a certain time, place, or person? Well at the BBC Radio Stoke Open Centre we restored your old vinyl and resurrected a few memories in the process.  Reminiscing about times gone by. Music can be so much more than just a nice melody. Certain songs can transport you back in time to special moments in your life. And the recordings that people brought to BBC Radio Stoke's Vinyl Countdown workshop all seemed to be associated with some very precious memories. Doreen Peers from Tunstall brought a recording of a Theme From A Summer Place by Percy Faith. It had been given to her as a present by her husband who had died 14 years ago. She said that whenever she heard it she thought of him. Help playing audio/video  Restoring scratchy old vinyl. Mark Gadd from Stoke brought a recording in that reminds him of his Nan. Its called the Talking Potteries Blues and describes how Stoke used to be in the 1960s.
