Can Afghans lead their own army?

Behind the scenes in Afghanistan there is a frantic effort going on to try to train the local army and police in sufficient numbers and with sufficient skills so that they can take over the fight against the Taliban in the middle of next year.

General William Caldwell, who is in charge of training the Afghan army and police, discusses whether the Afghan troops he has been helping to train were up to the job they were being asked to do.
