The British photographer Rankin - best known for his fashion portraits - has swapped the catwalk for the Democratic Republic of Congo.
With the help of Oxfam, he travelled to Mugunga camp - to meet some of the thousands of people displaced by a decade of violence.
Images from his journey are going on display on London's South Bank, in an exhibition called Cheka Kidogo - which means "laugh a little" in Swahili.
In an online exclusive for the Today programme, Rankin talks about the people he met and how he captured their spirit in his photographs.
