Cosmetic surgery might not be the most obvious subject for an opera, but a new production opening in Leeds looks at the work of an unscrupulous fictional plastic surgeon - Dr Needlemeier.
Skin Deep is a satirical operetta - with music by David Sawer - and dialogue by Armando Iannucci, the man behind multi award winning radio and television comedy shows The Thick of It, I'm Alan Partridge and The Day Today.
Here - with final rehearsals under way - both men explain what inspired them, and why many cast members have to fall into a giant pedal bin on stage.
