Today's guest editor David Hockney is preparing for a major exhibition at the Royal Academy in 2012.
Mr Hockney re-located to the Yorkshire seaside town of Bridlington after spending many years living in Los Angeles.
Today presenter Evan Davis went to meet him in his studio.
