Protesters in Weymouth are calling for a national roll-out of the Sarah's Law scheme, after a released child rapist reportedly moved into the resort. "Sarah's Law", which is being trialled in Southampton, Warwickshire, north Cambridgeshire and Stockton-on-Tees, allows parents to ask police if someone with access to their child has convictions or has been previously suspected of abuse.
Liberal Democrat home affairs spokesman Chris Huhne considers the scheme.
