A survey suggests that eight out of 10 people believe the government should allow communities to come up with their own solutions to various social challenges. Jonathan Kestenbaum, chief executive of the National Endowment for Science, Technology and the Arts (Nesta) which carried out the research, discusses the findings with Ed Cox, of the think tank IPPR North.
