American singer-songwriter and artist Patti Smith is reading the 'Book of the Week' on Radio 4 starting this morning. Correspondent Nicola Stanbridge talks to Patti about the book which she explains is a memoir about her early years with the photographer Robert Mapplethorpe in New York.
