Former Liberal leader Lord Steel has said that a deal between Conservatives and Liberal Democrats is "not impossible" despite deep disagreement over Europe and electoral reform.

Speaking to Today presenter James Naughtie, he said it was important that any deal should agreed for a "fixed term".
