The Rolling Stones will be strutting down the red carpet at Cannes with a new documentary about the making of their classic 70s album, Exile on Main Street.

Arts editor Will Gompertz asked the band's frontman Sir Mick Jagger whether he remembered the notorious house party that took place above their recording studio while they were making the record in a French mansion.

"The orgies, the drug taking? Yes I remember it well," he says.

Times have changed in the record industry, but Sir Mick is still "quite relaxed" about file sharing and downloading.

"There was a small period from 1970 until 1997 where... everyone made money, but now that period is gone," he says. "I was in it."
