At the 2003 cricket World Cup two Zimbabwe players - Andy Flower who is white and Henry Olonga who was the first black cricketer to represent the nation - wore black arm bands to protest at the death of democracy in Zimbabwe.

Olonga, labelled a traitor by the Zimbabwean authorities, had to flee with his family and now lives in the UK.
