Nato members are preparing to meet in Portugal for what is being billed as one of the most crucial summits in the alliance's 61-year history.

Earlier on the programme, Nato Secretary General Anders Fogh Rasmussen said he thought the summit would produce a "realistic roadmap" for ending of Nato combat operations by 2015.

Defence Secretary Liam Fox reiterated David Cameron's decision to end combat operations in the country by 2015.

But he admitted that large numbers of UK forces "may or may not" stay in Afghanistan following the end of combat operations in 2015.
