The Amazon rainforest or the Indonesian jungle are often cited as places with remarkable biodiversity and usually we talk about how it's under threat.

But the UK has its own biodiversity hotspot as scientists from the University of East Anglia have discovered and have turned up a staggering 12,500 plants and animals including 2000 of the rarest and most threatened species.
