A debate is brewing about how to sell the Port of Dover.

The local MP wants the community to acquire it; the Treasury seems more interested in selling it off in the conventional way.

So in the choices being made by the government - in selling the forests, the waterways or the port, the question is raised on whether you raise money and maximise commercial exploitation? Or do you try and promote community involvement and the Big Society?
