The Secretary General of the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development, Angel Gurria, says he believes the cost of the Japanese earthquake and tsunami to the country's economy will be 2% of the country's GDP.

But speaking to Today presenter Evan Davis, he said he believed reconstruction could provide a boost to the economy and that it would be funded by the Japanese people.
