Cartoonists have been deriding the institution of marriage for hundreds of years. So with royal wedding mania in the air, the Cartoon Museum in London thought it was an opportune time to bring out its best exhibits on the subject. You can see some of the cartoons on our website.

Our reporter, Nicola Stanbridge, had a look at the exhibition, Royals and Commoners: In and Out of Love, which is at the museum from 23 March to 22 May, with the Guardian cartoonist, Steve Bell.
