Police 'most transparent in the world'

The president of the Association of Chief Police Officers has said that the British police force is one of the most transparent forces in the world.

Responding to concerns over police conduct surrounding the death of Ian Tomlinson, Sir Hugh Orde told Evan Davis that police officers were "intolerant of misbehaviour within their ranks".

"There is no underlying trend of misinformation being fed from the police service," he said.
