The 200 worst performing primary schools in England are to be turned into academies next year, under new government proposals.
Tony Draper of the National Executive of the National Association of Head Teachers, who is also head of an occasionally underperforming primary school in Milton Keynes, explains why academies should not be a "default response to everything".
