The vice-president of the European Commission says that the UK government has "got it wrong" over criticisms of their planned 5% budget increase.

Viviane Reding said that the EU was not asking for more money, as the budget increase was over seven years, a decrease in real terms when inflation was taken into account.

"It is a myth to say the budget goes up," she told Justin Webb.
