Sir David Attenborough has warned of a "catastrophic drop" in butterfly numbers, as he launches the Big Butterfly Count, a project to measure the numbers of the insects in Britain.

Sir David, the president of Butterfly Conservation, explains why the count could be "a marvellous weapon" to improve the health of the UK's butterfly population.
