Nato Secretary General Anders Fogh Rasmussen has warned that, if defence spending cuts continue, the influence of Europe on the international scene will "gradually decline".

Speaking to Evan Davis, Mr Fogh Rasmussen said the international community would have to rely on emerging powers like China and India to fill the "gap" in international crisis management.
