A senior police officer in Cheshire has backed the sentences handed down to two local men who admitted using Facebook to try to incite riots.
Jordan Blackwater and Perry Sutcliffe-Keenan were both jailed for four years, even though no-one responded to their calls for violence.
The Assistant Chief Constable of Cheshire, Philip Thompson, said the sentences would give a "very clear signal" that anyone who incited riots would face "a significant risk to their liberty".
